The Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata, India Project amounting to Rs 75,000 from Jan. 2018 to Mar. 2019 is an ongoing Venture initiated Dr. Lenin N C, Associate Professor – School of Electrical Engineering. The Project researches on the ‘Design, Development and Implementation of 1 kW Direct Torque Control based Induction Motor Drive – Application to Electric Vehicles’ discussing the Design of 48 V, 1.4 kW three phase inverter for a real time testing of Direct Torque control (DTC) algorithm in a 1 kW induction motor (IM) drive (designed for electric vehicle application) and Optimizing the DTC algorithm drive algorithm for minimal torque and flux ripples in IM drive.
