The 9th World Engineering Education Forum – WEEF 2019 was inaugurated at Chennai on Thursday. This prestigious event is being held in India for the first time and is organised by Vellore Institute of Technology. The largest engineering education gathering in the world, WEEF brings together a large number of stakeholders, including engineering educators, leaders, students, industry, government and non-governmental institutions to learn, share & build fruitful and long-term collaborations. The Conference Theme is “Disruptive Engineering Education for Sustainable Development.”
Dr. G.Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor, VIT, delivered the Presidential Address. Dr. Michael Milligan, Executive Director , Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology was the Chief Guest.
