Teaching and Research

The Division of Physics at VIT Chennai is engaged to nurture the inquisitive nature of students in various fields of Basic Physics as well as Applied Physics with state-of-the-art experimental facilities. The faculty members, with their knowledge and expertise in diverse fields of Physics, encourage and motivate students to gain wisdom along with pursuing high quality research in plethora of topics which are interdisciplinary and of social & technological importance. Collaborations with national and international universities and institutes are synonymous with the Division of Physics.Our research scholars visit collaborative laboratories under joint research programs. The Division of Physics also encourages undergraduate students to do research with flexibility from early stage in their career. The vibrant research environment enables the faculty and scholars enjoy a host of opportunities for research
