Eligibility

  • Applicants who have studied through regular, full-time and formal education with English as one of the subjects are eligible to apply

Nationality

  • The applicant should be a Resident/ Non-Resident Indian National/ OCI/ PIO Holder

Age Limit

  • Applicants born on or after 01.07.2006 are eligible to apply for B.Sc. programme for the academic year 2026 – 27
  • Applicants must present the Age proof (Birth certificate / Passport copy) as proof of their age during admission. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the admission process

Qualifying Examination

The applicant must have successfully completed any one of the following qualifying examinations:

  • The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central / State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or any other Board accepted by VIT as equivalent to 10+2 examination
  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/University
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at Advanced (A) Level
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University / Pearson Edexcel regulated by UK
    For PCM: Physics & Mathematics – A Level / Chemistry – A/AS Level and English – A/AS Level
  • High School Certificate Examination of the International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva
    For PCM: Physics & Mathematics – HL, Chemistry – SL/HL
  • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by central board

Note:

  • Applicants who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India should produce an equivalence certificate to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination with Grade / CGPA converted to percentage
  • Applicants who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible
  • Applicants who have appeared for their Class 12 examination and are awaiting for the results are also eligible to apply, provided they submit their passing certificate on or before the stipulated date informed by the Institute

Admission Procedure

  • There is NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
  • Admission is through merit, purely based on fulfilling the eligibility criteria with the qualifying examination
  • The applicants will be called for an online Personal Interview
  • A selection list will be prepared on the basis of +2/HSC marks and Personal Interview
  • Provisional admission is subject to cancellation at any point of time if the candidate fails to fulfill the eligibility requirements

In case of applicants belonging to SC/ST community or hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, 10% relaxation is provided in the qualifying examination. Certificate to prove the Community / Nativity should be produced at the time of admission, failing which candidacy will not be considered for admission.

How to Apply?

  • Applications must be submitted online via the website:
  • Candidates should register with a valid email ID and mobile number, as all correspondence will be communicated through these registered email/mobile number only
  • The application cost is Rs.600/-, and it is non-refundable

Steps to be followed for Online Application

Step 1: Register yourself by clicking on “Register here”
Step 2: Verify your registered E-Mail address by using the OTP received from VIT
Step 3: Once OTP is validated, a password will be sent to your registered E-Mail address. Keep this E-Mail ID and  password secure until the admission process is complete
Step 4: Fill out the application form
Step 5: Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs.600/- online using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or Paytm
Step 6: Upload the Age Proof Certificate, 12th Marksheet (if available)
Step 7: Upload the Photograph and Signature
Step 8: Download the application form

 Note:

  • All Copies of documents will be archived and will not be returned for any reason
  • The candidate should submit the qualifying mark statement from the board studied as mentioned on the application form for verification of genuineness at the time of admission. Submission of any fraudulent, incompetent certificate by the applicant will lead to legal action and the admission accorded will be duly cancelled and no refund will be initiated
  • The qualifying examination mark statement submitted by the candidate will be verified from the respective board.
  • VIT will not be responsible for non-receipt of the E-Mail, if the E-Mail address given is incomplete or incorrect or delivered to Spam / Junk Folder

 Withdrawal Procedure

  • Candidates can request withdrawal through Online in the Fresher’s Portal
  • The necessary form for withdrawal / No DUES must be obtained to facilitate the withdrawal process
  • Refund will be processed through account transfer to the bank account mentioned in the withdrawal request raised in the Fresher’s Portal. Accurate bank account details must be provided for hassle-free refund process

 Refund policy

  • The policy announced by AICTE / UGC will be adopted for refund as and when announced
