The Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India Project amounting to 13.60 Lakhs is an ongoing venture initiated by Dr. S. Jeyanthi, Associate Professor – School of Mechanical and Building Sciences. The objective of the Project is to develop an eco-friendly porous materials from the agricultural waste to reduce the harmful volatile organic compound emission from synthetic foam used for acoustic materials. In addition to afford the advantages of weight, cost reduction and recyclability, compared to synthetic porous material.
