The Nonferrous Materials Technology Development Centre (NFTDC), Hyderabad Project amounting to Rs. 3.28 Crores from 2018-2020 is an ongoing Venture initiated by Dr. Lenin N C, Associate Professor – School of Electrical Engineering. The Project researches on the ‘Hub and Spoke Consortium: Development of High Performance Induction and Synchronous Reluctance Motor Drives’ discussing the Design of high performance, rare earth free, Synchronous Reluctance Motors for electric-2 wheeler (e-2W) and electric-3 wheeler (e-3W) , Design of appropriate power electronic converter and controller, Development and testing of Synchronous Reluctance Motor drives.
