2nd NFSU National Technological Moot Competition, 2024
VIT School of Law proudly announces its remarkable achievement as the runners-up in the prestigious 2nd NFSU National Technological Moot Competition, 2024 held from 29-31st March 2024 at National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar Campus, Gujarat. The competition witnessed intense debates and legal deliberations among top-tier law schools from across India.
We are immensely proud of our students’ Mr. Tarun (21BLA1029) and Ms. Prathisksha Sadagopan (21BLB1058) from III year of the 5-year integrated LL.B. (Hons) programme for their outstanding performance and commendable achievement. Their success is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and dedication.
The competition witnessed the participation of 38 teams from various reputed law schools across the nation. The team from VITSOL, Chennai qualified for the finals competing against Symbiosis Law School, Pune. In the finals, VITSOL, Chennai emerged as Runners competing against Symbiosis Law School, Noida on a moot proposition that revolved around Data Privacy and Cyber Laws. The team was also awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 along with a trophy and a certificate of merit.
The final round was adjudged by Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.G. Uraizee (Former Judge, High Court of Gujarat), Hon’ble Mr. Justice Kalpesh Satyendra Jhaveri (Former Judge, High Court of Orissa), Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal (Judge, Supreme Court of India), Hon’ble Mr. Justice Kaushal Jayendra Thaker (Chairperson, Gujarat State Human Rights Commission), Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.P. Dholaria (Former Judge, High Court of Gujarat).

International Negotiation Competition
VITSOL students V VARSHA (20BLA1046) and REENU BHARGAVI C (20BLB1004) have represented VIT School of Law in the 2nd Edition of the International Negotiation Competition organized by the Faculty of Law, Manipal University Jaipur on 6th October 2024 at the Campus Manipal University Jaipur and has been adjudged as the Runner ups of the Competition. These students were selected and trained by the VITSOL Debate Society.
National Blog Writing Competition
VITSOL student R Aditya (20BLB1086) has won the inaugural National Blog Writing Competition on ADR and Arbitration Law, organized by School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Bangalore in association with Centre for Online Resolution of Disputes (CORD) and The Competition & Commercial Law Review (TCCLR). The competition received over 100 submissions and saw participation from students over 80 law schools across the country. The student was guided by the VITSOL debate Society.
4th Edition of the National Mediation Competition
VITSOL students POOJA PADMANABHAN (21BLA1027), GURUPRIYA (21BLA1056) and J RAKSHITHAA SREE (21BLB1087) have represented VIT School of Law in the 4th Edition of the National Mediation Competition organized by the Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh on 11th & 12th September 2024. 24 Teams Participated (72 Students) from all across the country and POOJA PADMANABHAN was adjudged as the Runner up Mediator of the Competition and GURUPRIYA & J RAKSHITHAA SREE were semi-finalists. These students were selected and trained by the VITSOL Debate Society.
Fourth National ADR Competition 2023
The students of Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai emerged as winners of the Fourth National ADR Competition 2023 held under the auspices of the Kerala Law Academy Moot Court Society on 12th, 13th and 14th of October 2023 via virtual mode. The team comprising of final year law students, Sankara Narayanan B (19BLB1032), Gowtham Raj A B (19BLA1104) and Jeshurun Christopher (19BLA1032) have been selected and trained by the Debate Society, School of Law, VIT. Sankara Narayan B has also been adjudged as the best rapporteur of the Competition. The best team receives a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/- with trophy. The team won against many reputed national, private and government law universities and colleges participated in the three-day national competition which aimed to provide opportunities to the students to learn and explore the alternate forms of dispute resolution which will enable them to amplify their abilities and legal knowledge.
International Negotiation and Mediation Competition-2023
The students of VIT School of Law SANKARA NARAYANAN B (19BLB1032) and JESHURUN CHRISTOPHER (19BLA1032) were selected and trained by VIT School of Law Debate Society (DebSoc) have been adjudged as Runners up in the Negotiation Segment of the 1st edition of the International Negotiation and Mediation Competition, 2023, organized by NMIMS, Kirit P. Mehta School of Law in association with Wadia Ghandy and Co. on 2nd and 3rd September 2023.
