Ms. Kadhambari S. Viswanathan is at the forefront of the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Group, a distinguished university recognized by the Government of India as an “Institute of Eminence.” As a member of the Core Committee, she has played a pivotal role in driving innovation in curriculum, teaching methodologies, management practices, and community support across VIT’s campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati, and Bhopal. Serving as the Assistant Vice President of VIT University, she has made significant contributions to General Administration, International Relations, Industry Collaborations, and Human Resources.
With a B.Tech degree in Biotechnology from VIT, Ms. Kadhambari excelled in her education and professional journey as a specialist in this field. Her academic path was enriched by notable experiences, including a successful period at Johns Hopkins University in the USA and Cancer Research Institutes in Europe, particularly the DKFZ in Heidelberg, Germany. Following her graduation, she embarked on further academic pursuits, joining the esteemed Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University to pursue a Masters in Health Sciences.
Ms. Kadhambari’s unwavering commitment to introducing novel learning technologies at VIT University has yielded remarkable outcomes, including improved pass rates among students and outstanding placement records. Her dedication and leadership have had a profound impact on the university’s overall success.
Ms. Kadhambari is an exceptionally gifted individual who has achieved remarkable accomplishments. At the age of 12, she earned a notable distinction by becoming the youngest biographer listed in the “Limca Book of Records” for her work “My Grandpa,” an 80-page biography detailing the life of Dr. G. Viswanathan, the Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology. Furthermore, her outstanding contributions to academia and society have been duly acknowledged, and she received the esteemed “Legacy Transcends Award” in 2016.
