CHENNAI, NOVEMBER 20: VIT Chennai on Wednesday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia.
The MoU, exchanged by Mr. G.V.Selvam, Vice President, VIT, and Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, Vice Chancellor, UTP, would make it possible to organise study visits, training and participation between the two reputed institutions.

Further, the MoU would also pave the way for recognition of academic credits, guidance and supervision of students thesechs and project works. The key component of the MoU would be handling of academic programmes and courses in addition to hosting the seminars, workshops and conferences.

Collaborative programmes in research and development includes joint publications and research projects would also be made possible with the signing of the MoU. It would also explore the possibilities of joint twinning programmes in inter-disciplinary areas of specialisation that would be relevant to both VIT and UTP.

Dr. Hilmi Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor, Academics and Mr. Zaimizi Hamdami, Director of Strategic Alliance Office, UTP and Dr. V.S.Kanchana Bhaaskaran, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. R.Ganesan and Dr. Syed Ibrahim SP Assistant Directors, International Relations, VIT Chennai, were also present.
