PLASMA 2019
The 34th National Symposium on Plasma Science and Technology began at VIT Chennai on Tuesday. The four-day event was inaugurated by Dr.A.K.Bhaduri, Director, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam. In his address, Dr. Bhaduri appealed to students to consider teaching and research as their career options. India was second only to China in exporting “brains” and working in advanced technologies was the only way forward. Mr. A.Dinakar, Managing Director, Saint Gobain – Sekurit India was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Sekar Viswanathan, Vice President was also present. Dr. Anand A.Samuel, Vice Chancellor, VIT and Dr. V.S.Kanchana Bhaaskaran, Pro Vice Chancellor, VIT Chennai were among those who spoke on the occasion.
