Short Term Course For Deakin University Students
A short-term course on Advanced Data Analytics for students from Deakin University, Australia jointly organized by Office of International Relations and Data Analytics Research Group, School of Computing Sciences and Engineering, VIT Chennai along with IBM India and K7 Computing as Knowledge partner, concluded on Friday. The course was inaugurated by Dr. G.Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor of VIT on November 4.
This short term course on Advanced Data Analytics is a 2 credit multi-faceted course which concentrated on academics as well as cultural learning. The course pedagogy included lectures, practicals, self-learning sessions with an emphasis on ‘learning by doing’, and 4 weeks of Industry Internship at K7 Computing. On Friday 13.12.2019, Dr. V.S.Kanchana Bhaaskaran, Pro Vice Chancellor, VIT Chennai distributed the certificates to the participants who had successfully completed the course. Dr. Jagadeesh Kannan, Dean, School of Computing Science & Engineering, Dr. Geetha, Associate Dean, School of Computing Sciences & Engineering, officials from K7 computing, Dr. S. P. Syed Ibrahim, Assistant Director, International Relations & Academic Coordinator of short term course, Dr. Karthi, Organizing Coordinator of short term course and Dr. R.Ganesan, Assistant Director, International Relations, VIT Chennai, were also present.
