Storm Rider Fitness Challenge
The Second Edition of Storm Rider Fitness Challenge held at VIT Chennai on Sunday was a phenomenal success. It was organised by VIT Chennai in association with Indian Coast Guard and F45 Training, Neelankarai as part of Fit India Movement of the Government of India to create awareness among people, especially the youth and students about fitness and sports. Participants from colleges & universities, fitness clubs, Tamil Nadu police, Defence and para-military forces took part and competed in individual and team events. The includes included F45 – pulls ups, benchhops, dumbbell box step up, tyre flips & hands off burpees and Mariner’s challenge. At the Valedictory function, Ms. Shiny Wilson, former Indian athlete, Oympian and Asian record holder, was the Chief Guest. She handed over prizes to individual and team winners. Sivamani Paramesh, Inspector General of Police, Coast Guard, Eastern Region, Dr. V.S.Kanchana Bhaaskaran and Dr. P.K.Manoharan, Pro Vice Chancellor and Additional Registrar respectively, VIT Chennai, were also present.
